Dustin Kidd, PhD, is a pop culture expert and a professor in the sociology department at Temple University. His research examines film, television, fiction, social media, comics, video games, music, and the arts, focusing on both inequalities and the ways marginalized groups use media to challenge those inequalities. He is the author of the books Social Media Freaks, Pop Culture Freaks, and Legislating Creativity. Dustin is available to give talks or media commentary. His current work focuses on narratives of disability in popular culture, social media, and social policy.
